Police are appealing for information after a driver disappeared from the scene of a road crash in Dundee.

Emergency services were called to the scene of the one-vehicle crash on Kingsway West, close to the city’s Liff Road, at around 10.25pm on Sunday.

The road was closed from Myrekirk to the A923 Coupar Angus road while emergency services responded to the incident.

The road was reopened at around 1.20am on Monday.

Police are now looking to trace the whereabouts of the driver as officers investigate the incident.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were called around 10.25pm on Sunday, 16 January, to a report of a one car crash on Kingsway West, Dundee.

“The road was closed eastbound from Myrekirk to the A923 Coupar Angus road while recovery took place. It reopened around 01.20am on Monday, 17 January.

“Enquires are ongoing to trace the driver and establish the full circumstances.”
