Police hunt for two cars after men seriously injured in attack

A 24-year-old and a 44-year-old were rushed to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Two men have been taken to hospital with serious injuries following an assault in Arbroath.

The incident happened in the Hercules Den Park View area of the town at around 5.35pm on Tuesday.

The two men, aged 24 and 44, sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Police said they are looking for a dark-coloured car as well as a white-coloured car which were both in the area at the time.

Detective constable Andy Howe said: “We would urge anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who may have any other information to get in touch.

“We would also be keen to speak to anyone who may have seen a dark-coloured car and another white-coloured car in the area around the time of the disturbance.”

Police Scotland said enquiries are ongoing.
