A 67-year-old man is in hospital with serious injuries following a road crash on the A90.

The incident took place near Stonehaven on Friday, December 17, at around 2.55pm

It involved a blue Hyundai i10 car and a silver Renault Traffic van, near to the slip road for the A92 coast road.

The 67-year-old, who was driving the Hyundai, was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for treatment to serious injuries as a result of the incident.

The driver of the van was not injured.

Police are now appealing for information and have asked to hear from anyone who may have been a witness.

Sergeant Alexander Bowser-Riley said: “Our enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances which led to this collision and we would be keen to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the incident to get in touch.

“We would also be keen to hear from anyone who was on the road in the area around the same time and may have dashcam footage, whether they witnessed the collision or not.

“Anyone who can help is asked to call 101, quoting reference 1989 of December 17.”
