Police appeal after attempts made to gain entry to several properties in Inverurie

Police are appealing for information after attempts were made to gain entry to properties in Inverurie.

Incidents were reported between 10pm on December 22 and 3am on December 23 at properties in the Rutherford Folds, Middle Park and Middlemuir Road area.

Officers are treating the incident as linked, and investigations are ongoing.

Sergeant Mark Adam said: “We understand this is concerning for those who live in the area, and our enquiries are ongoing to trace the person responsible.

“I would ask anyone who has any information, dash cam or private CCTV footage that could assist to contact us.

“We also advise residents to take measures to protect their home by keeping their property locked, closing windows, and considering the installation of CCTV or doorbell cameras. Keep valuables out of sight and have security lights fitted if possible.”
