A person has been airlifted off a beauty spot after an HM Coastguard rescue operation launched near Montrose.
Two lifeboats were called to the scene in Black Craig alongside search and rescue teams from Montrose and Stonehaven at around 1.50pm on November 20.
The casualty with an injured ankle was transported to an air ambulance that had arrived nearby.
A spokesperson from the HM Coastguard said: “At around 1.50pm today, HM Coastguard received reports of a casualty with an ankle injury at Black Craig in Montrose, Scotland.
“Two lifeboats from Montrose were called to the scene, alongside Coastguard Rescue Teams from Montrose and Stonehaven.
“Coastguards located the casualty and extracted them via stretcher to an air ambulance that had arrived on scene nearby.”
Police Scotland and the Scottish Ambulance Service have been contacted for comment.
