One person has been airlifted while two more have been taken to hospital following a crash on the A93.
Emergency services were called to the road between Dinnet and Aboyne just after midday on Friday, following reports of a three-vehicle crash
Two fire engines, police, an ambulance, and an air ambulance were sent to the scene.
One person was taken to hospital via air ambulance, while two others were taken by road to the hospital.
A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We received a call at 12.28pm to attend a three-vehicle road traffic collision on the A93 near Aboyne.
“We dispatched two ambulances, two special operations response teams (SORT), an air ambulance and a critical care team to the scene. We transported three patients to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.”
The road, a busy route through Royal Deeside, has been closed in both directions due to the crash.
A police spokesperson said: “The A93 is closed between Dinnet and Aboyne due to a crash reported around 12.30pm on Friday, August 21.
“Emergency services are in attendance.
“Please avoid the area and use an alternative route.”
