Pensioner who disappeared from seaside town found 'safe and well'

A pensioner who was reported missing from an Aberdeenshire town has been found ‘safe and well’.

William Skakle was reported missing from Fraserburgh after he was last seen around 9pm on Saturday in the Gallohill Terrace area of the town.

Police said concerns had been growing for the “vulnerable” 74-year-old’s welfare.

On Monday morning, officers confirmed he has since been traced.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We can confirm that William Skakle, 74, who was reported missing from Fraserburgh, has been traced safe and well. 

“Thank you to everyone who shared our earlier appeal.”
