A man has been left injured after being hit by a lorry in Aberdeen.

The 69-year-old pedestrian was struck on King Street, near to its junction with Regent Walk, at around 4.40pm on Friday.

He was taken to hospital and treated for minor injuries.

Police are appealing for witnesses and are urging anyone with information to get in touch.

Road policing constable Iain Lind said: "Enquiries into the collision are ongoing and I am extremely interested in speaking to anyone who may have witnessed the collision, or who may have seen the pedestrian immediately beforehand.

"I would also like to hear from anyone with dashcam footage of the incident.

“Anyone with information who has not already spoken to officers should contact Police Scotland on 101.”
