Google MapsA female pedestrian has died after being struck by a car near a Dundee retail park.
The crash occurred on East Dock Street near Gallagher Retail Park at around 10.45am on Friday.
It involved a 77-year-old female pedestrian and a silver Mini Cooper.
Emergency services, including police and ambulance, were called, however, the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
There were no other injuries, according to police who closed the road for several hours to carry out enquiries.
East Dock Street reopened at 4.30pm.
Constable Christopher McElwee said: “Our thoughts are with the family of the woman who has died at this difficult time.
“Enquiries are ongoing and we are appealing to anyone who witnessed the crash to contact us.
“We’d also ask anyone with dash-cam footage which could assist our enquiries to come forward.”
