A man has appeared in court charged with the murder of a 40-year-old man in Alloa.
Officers were called around 12.25am on Thursday, December 18, to a report of concern for an injured man at an address on Gartmorn Road in Sauchie.
William Devaney, from the local area, was pronounced dead at the scene.
A 26-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection with his death.
On Monday, Ronan Kane appeared at Alloa Sheriff Court, charged with Mr Devaney’s murder.
He made no plea and was remanded in custody. He is due to make his second court appearance within the next eight days.
‘Sadly missed’
In a statement, William’s family described him as: “A really nice person, so joyful, full of life and full of banter.
“Everybody loved him and he loved everybody.
“He will be sadly missed by all his family and friends and was loved by all.”
