A manhunt is under way following a “targeted” robbery in Aberdeenshire.

Police were alerted to a disturbance in Kintore on Thursday, May 21, around 7.30pm involving the occupants of two cars.

Three men were sat in a black Seat Leon on Carnie Road when an ‘electric’ blue car pulled up nearby.

The suspects got out of the blue vehicle and a disturbance occurred, in which hundreds of pounds and a mobile phone were stolen.

The suspects then made off in the blue car at speed. The three men in the Seat Leon were not seriously hurt following the attack.

Officers say enquiries are ongoing to establish what happened.

Detective Sergeant Richard Cooper said: “Thankfully the victims were not seriously hurt, and we believe that this incident has been targeted, with no wider risk to the local community.

“I’m appealing for anyone who was in the area at the time who may have witnessed a disturbance, or noticed the vehicles involved, to please get in touch.

“I’d also urge anyone with dash cam footage to please check in case you have captured anything which could assist with our investigation.”

Anyone with information is asked to call Police Scotland via 101, quoting incident 3219 of May 21.

Alternatively, please call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, where you can give your information anonymously.
