Google MapsA multi-service operation was launched following an incident on Aberdeen’s coastline.
The alarm was raised near Coast Road at around 6.35am on Wednesday.
The Coastguard sent rescue teams from Stonehaven, Cruden Bay and Aberdeen to the area. Two of the city’s RNLI lifeboat also attended.
The Scottish Ambulance Service, Police Scotland, and the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service also joined the operation.
The nature of the incident is not yet known, and it is unclear if anyone was injured.
A spokesperson from the Coastguard said: “HM Coastguard was informed of an incident on the coast at Aberdeen at about 6.35am on September 2 and sent Stonehaven, Cruden Bay and Aberdeen Coastguard Rescue Teams, and two RNLI lifeboats from Aberdeen.
“Scottish Ambulance Service, Police Scotland, and the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service also attended.”
A spokesperson for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said: “We supported emergency service partners at an incident on the Coast Road in Aberdeen.
“Operations Control mobilised two appliances to the area after the alarm was raised at 7.04am on Wednesday, September 2.
“Our assistance was not required, and crews left the scene at 7.54am.”
