Motorcyclist killed in crash with an electric car in Monikie, Dundee named by police as Brechin man Police Scotland

A motorcyclist who died after colliding with an electric car at a junction in a Dundee village has been named by police.

Jonathan Marsh, 48, from Brechin, was pronounced dead at the scene after emergency services were called to the B961, at the junction with Panmure Road, in Monikie.

Police received reports that his black BMW R1150 GS motorcycle collided with the MG5 electric vehicle at around 8.50pm on Tuesday.

An investigation remains ongoing to establish the full circumstances of what happened and police are continuing to appeal to anyone who can assist to speak with officers.

Sergeant Kevin Wilkie, Police Scotland, said: “Our thoughts are very much with Jonathan’s family at this very difficult time.

“Our investigation to establish the full circumstances of what happened is ongoing and we continue to appeal to anyone who can assist, who has not already spoken with officers, to please get in touch.

“If you have dash-cam footage or anything else that could help, please call us on 101 and quote incident number 3281 of Tuesday, November 22, 2022.”
