iStockA father and son from Perth who had been reported missing have been found safe after a search.
Police launched an appeal in a bid to trace the 36-year-old and the three-year-old child saying concern was growing for the pair.
The force later confirmed that they had been found and have returned home.
They had been missing since the early hours of Friday morning.
Officers leading the search have thanked the public for their assistance.
A statement said: “A father and son who had been reported missing from Perth earlier today have been traced.
“Thank you for sharing our appeal.”
