A manhunt for a suspect wielding a possible firearm in Dundee has entered its second day
Officers received a report of the sighting on High Street in the Lochee area around 9.10am on Tuesday morning.
Firearms officers attended the scene and searched the area but no individual was located.
The man is described as being around 5ft 8in tall, with stubble or a short beard, wearing a dark jacket, black hat with a bobble, dark trousers and grey trainers.
Extensive enquiries are ongoing with a review of CCTV and door to door enquiries being carried out.
Chief Inspector Colin Echevarria, Local Area Commander said: “We under that reports of this nature can be concerning for the community, and I want to reassure residents that we are carrying out through enquiries to establish exactly what happened.
“We are particularly keen to hear from anyone who may have captured footage in the area around the time the man was seen. Anyone with dash-cam, doorbell footage or private CCTV is asked to come forward.”
