A man who murdered his partner in a horror hammer attack after breaching a court order banning him from going near her is due to be sentenced.
Joseph Greer, 40, was wearing an electronic tag when he repeatedly struck mum-of-three Samantha Lee at his flat in Aberdeen in January.
The body of the 54-year-old was discovered after Greer admitted to a friend that she was dead inside the property.
The couple had been in a relationship since 2021, but the court heard Greer had a history of domestic vioelnec against her.
At the time of the fatal attack, Greer was subject to a court order banning him from approaching Samantha following a previous assault. He was also on a curfew and monitored by an electronic tag.
He admitted to murdering her at the High Court in Glasgow in June.
He is facing a life sentence when he appears at the High Court in Dundee on Friday.
