A man was taken to hospital after being “stabbed” in Aberdeen city centre.

Emergency services were called to the Union Street area of the city, near to Market Street, at around 12.25am on Sunday.

It is understood a 32-year-old man was stabbed.

He was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for treatment and his current condition is unknown at this stage.

Enquiries into the incident remain ongoing at this time.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 12.25am on Sunday, July 7, 2024, police received a report of the serious assault of a 32-year-old man on Union Street, near to Market Street, Aberdeen.

“The man was taken to hospital for treatment and enquiries remain ongoing.”
