Man rushed to hospital after ‘stabbing’ in PerthPolice Scotland

A man is in hospital following an alleged stabbing which took place on a residential street in Perth.

Emergency services were called to a disturbance at a property on Viewfield Place on Wednesday.

A 35-year-old man was taken to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee for treatment after being injured by a bladed weapon.

A spokesperson said: “Around 7.05pm on Wednesday, August 26, police were called to a report of a disturbance in Viewfield Place, Perth.

“Emergency services attended, and a 35-year-old man was taken to hospital for treatment.

“Inquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.”

A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We received a call at 7.12pm on Wednesday to attend an incident on Viewfield Place in Perth.

“We dispatched one ambulance to the scene and transported one male patient to Ninewells Hospital.”
