A man has died after emergency services were called to a town centre in Aberdeenshire on Thursday.
Police were called to Market Square in Stonehaven at around 8.10am following reports of concern for a person.
A 62-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene. His family has been made aware.
Detectives are not treating the death as suspicious.
A report is due to be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
The square was initially closed, however, it has now reopened.
