A man has been taken to hospital with serious injuries following a hit and run in Dundee.

The 25-year-old man was struck by a grey or blue hatchback-style car at around 11.35pm on Thursday night on the Kingsway near to the roundabout junction with Myrekirk Road.

Emergency services attended and the man was taken to Ninewells Hospital to be treated for serious, but not life-threatening, injuries.

The vehicle did not stop at the scene, and police are urging any witnesses to come forward.

Sergeant Paul Hardie said: “Our enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances, and we are keen to trace the driver of the vehicle involved.

“I am asking anyone who was in the area at the time and witnessed what happened to get in touch with us. Any drivers with dash-cam footage which may assist our enquiries is also asked to contact us.”

Anyone with information should contact police on 101 quoting incident 2858 of December 5.
