Man in hospital after being rescued from water at Stirlingshire beauty spot

A man has been taken to hospital after falling into water at a beauty spot in Stirlingshire.

Emergency services, including police, fire and ambulance crews, were called to the scene near the A827 in the Bridge End Mill area of Killin at around 3pm on Monday.

Police confirmed an air ambulance was also in attendance.

The man was taken to hospital for treatment.

A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “We were alerted at 3pm on Monday, August 24, to reports that a person had fallen into the water near to the A827 at Killin, Stirlingshire

“Operations Control mobilised two fire appliances and two specialist resources to the scene.

“One male casualty was taken into the care of the Scottish Ambulance Service and crews left at 5.12pm after ensuring the area was made safe.”

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 3.10pm on Monday, August 24, 2026, we received a report of an injured man in the Bridge End Mill area of Killin.

“Emergency services, including the air ambulance, attended and the man was taken to hospital for treatment.”
