A man was taken to hospital after being attacked by two men on a quad bike in Perthshire.

Police were called to the B8062, Dunning to Auchterarder road, at around 2.15pm on Thursday after receiving reports that a 22-year-old man had been attacked by two men riding a quadbike.

The man was taken to Perth Royal Infirmary. His current condition is unknown.

Officers have now launched a hunt for the two men who launched the attack and have appealed for any witnesses to come forward.

Detective constable Nathan Shields of CID said : “The victim was assaulted by two men who were riding a quad bike. We are keen to trace these men.

“We are also looking to speak to anyone who was in the area and witnessed the incident. We know the area was busy with motorists and if they have dash-cam, they may have captured something that could assist our investigation.

“Anyone with any information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting 1885 of February 2, 2023.”
