Google MapsA man has appeared in court after “failing to stop for police and abandoning a car” in Aberdeenshire.
Officers arrested a man after a white Saab 93 failed to stop for officers on the A90 Hatton to Ellon road at around 5.55pm on Tuesday.
Police said the driver then abandoned the vehicle in the Broadfold Road area in Bridge of Don before running off.
He was found a short distance away.
A 28-year-old man was charged in connection with the incident and was due to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court on Wednesday.
The force is urging anyone with information regarding the incident to come forward.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “Enquiries are ongoing and anyone with information, including dash-cam, that could assist is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 2700 of Tuesday, October 15, 2024.”
