A man has been charged in connection with a series of offences, including theft of a car and hit-and-run, over the space of two days in Aberdeen.
Police say a 33-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with a series of 11 thefts and attempted thefts from vehicles, the theft of a car, and a hit-and-run crash in the city.
The incidents took place in the Craigiebuckler, Hazlehead and West End areas between Friday, May 8, and Saturday, May 9, 2026.
The man is expected to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court on Tuesday.
Detective Constable Andrew Yule said: “We understand how distressing this kind of crime can be in our local communities and take all such reports seriously.
“We encourage owners to review their own vehicle security, as taking a few extra precautions can protect your homes and vehicles.
“Remember to keep doors and windows locked, ensure no valuables are visible, and consider installing doorbell or security cameras.
