A man has been charged with attempted murder after an alleged stabbing outside a community centre in Tayside.
Emergency services closed off High Street in Newburgh, west of Cupar, after reports of a man being seriously assaulted at around 7.20am on Wednesday.
He was taken to hospital for treatment.
A 42-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the incident. He is due to appear at Dundee Sheriff Court on Thursday.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “A 42-year-old man arrested following a serious assault in Newburgh has been charged in connection with attempted murder.
“Around 7.20am on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, officers were called to High Street following a report of a man having been injured. He was taken to hospital for treatment.
“The 42-year-old man is due to appear at Dundee Sheriff Court on Thursday, November 6, 2025.”
