iStockA man has been charged in connection with the death of a woman who was found injured at a home in Aberdeen.
Emergency services were called to the property on Bedford Road at around 7.30pm on Sunday following reports of a 54-year-old woman being found injured.
She was pronounced dead at the scene. Officers have charged a 39-year-old man in connection with the incident.
He is due to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court on Tuesday.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “A 39-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the death of a woman in Aberdeen.
“Around 7.30pm on Sunday, January 4, 2026, we received a report of a woman being found injured at a property in Bedford Road.
“Emergency services attended, but the 54-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
“The man is due to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court on Tuesday, January 6, 2026.”
