A man has been charged after a woman was allegedly abducted in Aberdeenshire.
Emergency services were called to reports of the abduction of a 45-year-old woman in the Broadsea Road area of Fraserburgh on Sunday.
A 25-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the incident.
He is due to appear at Peterhead Sheriff Court on Tuesday.
Police said the incident was being treated as an “isolated incident” and there was no wider risk to the public.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “A 25-year-old man has been arrested and charged following a report of an abduction of a 45-year-old woman in the Broadsea Road area of Fraserburgh on Sunday, June 15, 2025.
“The man is due to appear at Peterhead Sheriff Court on Tuesday, June 17 2025.
“This is being treated as an isolated incident with no wider risk to the public.
“Enquiries are ongoing.”
