Man charged after woman dies in disturbance at Dundee home

A man has been charged after a woman died following a disturbance at a home in Dundee on Saturday.

Emergency services were called to the home on Milnbank Road at around 9.55am after reports of an incident.

Officers found the woman unresponsive and she died a short time later at the scene.

A 42-year-old man was charged with assault and is due to appear at Dundee Sheriff Court on Monday. An investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death is ongoing.

Detective Inspector James Callander said: “Around 9.55am on Saturday, December 6, 2025, police received a report of a possible disturbance at a property on Milnbank Road, Dundee. Officers attended and a woman was found unresponsive, before being pronounced dead at the scene a short time later.

“A 42-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with an assault and is expected to appear at Dundee Sheriff Court on Monday, December 8, 2025.

“Further enquiries into the death remain ongoing.

“There is no risk to the public and police will remain in the area while the investigation continues. We would encourage anyone with concerns to speak to these officers.”
