A woman was left in hospital after being struck by a car on Dunkeld Road, Perth, on Thursday night.

A man has been charged after a woman was knocked down by a vehicle which then drove off outside a Territorial Army Barracks in Perth.

The crash happened at around 6.45pm on Thursday on Dunkeld Road.

Emergency services attended and the 50-year-old woman was taken to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee. Her current condition is unknown.

Officers said the vehicle involved was white and that they were searching for the driver.

Police confirmed on Saturday that a 20-year-old man has been charged in connection with the crash.

A spokesperson said: “A 20-year-old man has been charged in connection with a crash which happened on Dunkeld Road in Perth around 6.45pm on Thursday, December 7, 2023.

“He will be reported to the Procurator Fiscal.”
