A 75-year-old man has been charged after a dog allegedly injured a woman in Aberdeen.

The incident is said to have happened at around 9am on Thursday, February 27, 2025, when the woman was walking near Smithfield Drive.

The dog reportedly jumped up and bit her, and she was taken to hospital for treatment.

The Border Collie-type dog was described as black and white, with a large white patch on its chest, and wearing a blue rope collar.

Police Scotland said a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
