A man has been arrested in connection with the rape of a teenager near a railway station in Dundee.
The 23-year-old has been charged after the incident in the Yeaman shore area of the city during the early hours of Friday morning.
Investigating officers appealed for witnesses following reports a 19-year-old woman was attacked in a parked vehicle.
Police Scotland confirmed the arrest on Wednesday.
A spokesperson for the force said: “A 23-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with a serious sexual assault in the Yeaman shore area of Dundee.
“It was reported that a 19-year-old woman had been seriously sexually assaulted within a car in the early hours of Friday, 27 August.”
