A man has been arrested in connection with an assault and robbery in Perth.
The 27-year-old has also been charged over the incident that took place on St Catherine’s Road on Tuesday afternoon.
A 20-year-old man reportedly had his wallet stolen after being attacked by two men at around midday.
The suspect is due to appear at Perth Sheriff Court from custody on Thursday.
Police Scotland have thanked the public for their assistance after they issued an appeal for information.
A member of the public has been singled out for specific praise after assisting officers investigating the incident on King Edward Street on Wednesday.
Detective Constable Chris McLeod said: “We would like to thank the public for their help with enquiries into this incident and the member of the public who assisted officers on King Edward Street in Perth in connection with enquiries on Wednesday.”
