STV NewsA man has been arrested in connection with a blaze at a property in Peterhead.
The 25-year-old has been charged with wilful fire-raising following the incident that took place on Kirk Street on Sunday, July 7.
He will now appear at court on Monday following the arrest that took place after a police appeal for information.
Investigating officers have now thanked the public for their help after confirming the man had been charged on Friday.
A statement from the force said: “A 25-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with a wilful fire-raising which occurred at a property in Kirk Street, Peterhead on Sunday, July 7.
“He is due to appear before Peterhead Sheriff Court on Monday, August 12.”
Detective Sergeant Richard Cooper said: “I would like to thank the public with their assistance following our appeal for information regarding this wilful fire-raising.”
