A man has been charged after police and paramedics were attacked and racially abused in Dundee.
Emergency services were called to the Cowgate area in the city following a report of concern for a person around 3.30pm on Sunday.
Officers and staff from the Scottish Ambulance Service attended and were then assaulted and racially abused.
A 40-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection.
He is expected to appear at Dundee Sheriff Court on Monday.
Chief Inspector Colin Echevarria said: “Assaults on emergency workers are completely unacceptable.
“Police officers and other emergency service colleagues work tirelessly to protect and support the public and should be able to carry out their duties without fear of violence and abuse.”
