A man has been arrested after the death of a woman in an Aberdeenshire town.
Emergency crews were called to reports of concern for a person at a property on Catto Drive, Peterhead, shortly after 6.15pm on Tuesday.
The 58-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police Scotland confirmed a 30-year-old man had been arrested in connection and that there is no risk to the wider public.

A spokesperson for the force said: “We were made aware of concern for a 58-year-old woman at an address on Catto Drive in Peterhead shortly after 6.15pm on Tuesday, June 27.
“She was pronounced dead at the scene.
“A 30-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident.
“There is no risk to the wider public and enquiries to establish the full circumstances are at an early stage.”
