A suspect has been arrested following the death of a man at a property in Aberdeenshire.
Officers were made aware of the death of Martin Forgie within a property in Gordon Place in Ellon around 8.35pm on Wednesday, October 9.
A post mortem examination on the 36-year-old man from Maud will be carried out in due course.
A 44-year-old man has now been arrested in connection with the death and enquiries are continuing.
In a statement released through Police Scotland, Mr Forgie’s family said: “Martin was a much loved son, brother, father, nephew, grandson and uncle.
“He will be greatly missed.
“We ask for our privacy as a family to be respected at this difficult time.”
Detective Inspector Rory Campbell said: “Our thoughts remain with Mr Forgie’s family and friends at this extremely difficult time.
“Officers will remain in the area while enquiries are carried out.
