A man has appeared in court charged with causing death by dangerous driving after a 74-year-old man died after being hit by a car.
Emergency services were called to Forthill Road in Broughty Ferry around 1pm on Monday following a collision involving a red Maserati Quattroporte.
The pedestrian, a 74-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene. His family is aware.
No one else was injured.
Fraser Garden, 55, is accused of stealing the car and has been charged with attempting to pervert the course of justice.
Garden, of no fixed address, made no plea at Dundee Sheriff Court and was remanded in custody.
