Man, 81, who died in hospital after three-car crash named by police

An 81-year-old man who died in hospital following a three-car crash in Alloa has been named by police.

Emergency services were called to the collision around 10.35am on Thursday on Clackmannan Road involving a grey Audi Q5, a grey Peugeot and a blue Audi Q3.

John McClumpha, 81, died after being taken to Forth Valley Hospital.

The road was closed to allow for investigations to be carried out and re-opened around 2.50pm the same day.

Sergeant Vincent Lynch said: “Our thoughts are with John’s family and friends at this extremely difficult time.

“We would ask anyone who has yet to speak to officers get in touch and review any dashcam footage for anything that may assist with our inquiries.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 1138 of November 6.
