Google MapsA man has died in a serious crash on a rural road in Perthshire.
Emergency services were called to the A824, Auchterarder to Aberuthven Road near to Damside around 2.40pm on Friday to reports of a crash involving a Land Rover Freelander.
The 41-year-old driver of the SUV was pronounced dead at the scene.
The road was closed to allow police enquiries to be carried out and reopened around 11.30pm.
Sergeant Brian McEwen said: “Our enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of this crash
“I am appealing for anyone who witnessed it or who has information which could assist our investigation to contact us.
“I would also ask anyone who was in the area and many have dash-cam footage to please get in touch if it holds anything which could be relevant.”
