A man has appeared in court charged with the murder of a ‘much-loved son’ in Aberdeen.

Dylan Geddes, 24, was found seriously injured in the Pennan Road area at about 12.30am on Thursday, following an incident at an address in Coningham Terrace.

Emergency services attended and the 24-year-old, from Northfield, was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later.

On Monday, Brandon Booth appeared at Aberdeen Sheriff Court charged with murder. The 25-year-old made no plea and was remanded in custody.

He is due to make his second appearance within the next eight days.

In a statement released via Police Scotland, Mr Geddes’ family said: “Dylan was a much-loved son, grandson, brother and nephew.

“He will be sorely missed every day by all who knew him.

“The family is absolutely devastated by what has happened and would like privacy at this difficult time.”
