A major road is closed in both directions after a body was discovered in a burn in Elgin.
Emergency services closed the A96 after a man’s body was discovered with Tyock Burn, near to East Road, at around 3pm on Monday.
The road is closed in both directions between Tyock Industrial Estate and Ashgrove Road.
A formal identification has yet to take place and circumstances behind the incident are yet to be identified.
A police spokesperson said: “Around 3.05pm on Monday, October 23, police received a report of a man’s body within Tyock Burn near to East Road, Elgin.
“Emergency services are at the scene and the A96 is currently closed in both directions between Tyock Industrial Estate and Ashgrove Road.”
