A road into a village in Angus has reopened, and a man has been arrested following a major police operation.
Drumsturdy Road, from the Kellas Road junction to the Ethiebeaton/Forbes junction, which leads into Kingennie, was closed by police around 11.50am on Wednesday.
Police Scotland said officers attended a property in connection with an ongoing investigation.
A 50-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection and is due to appear at Forfar Sheriff Court on Thursday.
Around ten police vehicles, an ambulance, a special operations team, and two fire appliances were at the scene, and members of the public were urged to avoid the area.
Police confirmed that the road had reopened around 10pm on Wednesday and the incident had been resolved.
