A wooded area in Lhanbryde, near Elgin, has been cordoned off by police following the discovery of a bone.
Police were called to the scene on Elsher Road on Saturday after the discovery was made.
A cordon has been erected around the site, which sits close to a cemetery, with officers also on the scene.
Investigations into the find are ongoing.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “On Saturday, February 7, 2026, we were made aware of a bone being found in a wooded area near Elsher Road, Lhanbryde.
“Enquiries are ongoing.”
