A search has been launched for a group of youths on bikes who were causing damage and threatening residents in Dundee.

Police were called to the Silver Birch Drive area of Baldovie around 5.25pm on Tuesday to reports of a group of male youths on scrambler-type bikes were causing damage to a grassy area.

The group also threatened residents and vandalised vehicles.

Attending officers could not trace the youths, and further enquiries to identify them remain ongoing.

Sergeant Kirsty Clayton said: “This was a frightening situation for members of the community and we are appealing for anyone with information to come forward, especially local residents who may have video doorbell, CCTV or dash-cam footage around the time of the incident.

“We are committed to dealing with such antisocial and destructive behaviour and will thoroughly investigate any reports made to us.”
