Police are hunting for a gang of teenagers who threatened to assault a woman and “kick her baby in the head” in Elgin.

Officers say three male youths were acting in an unacceptable manner in the Linkwood Burn area around 5pm on Tuesday, June 24.

A woman was walking with her baby and dog on a path adjacent to Linkwood Burn, and was approached at the bottom of Dove Avenue by three males around 13 years old who were abusive towards her.

The teenagers threatened to assault her, kick her baby in the head and steal her dog.

The incident caused the woman distress, and she fled to a more populated area for safety whilst the group travelled towards the wooded area next to Linkwood Burn.

All three males were wearing dark clothing, two had dark hair and the third had fairer hair.

A Police Scotland statement read: “If anyone who lives in the areas can assist identify the three males, may have CCTV or recording doorbell footage that would assist identify these youths, please contact Police Scotland via 101, or report anonymously via Crimestoppers 0800555111 quoting reference PS-20250624-2892.”
