Hunt for masked suspects who robbed and attacked man in his home in FifePolice Scotland

A man has been left with serious injuries following a robbery at his home in Fife.

The robbery occurred at a property on Manse Road in Crossgates just before 8.30pm on Thursday, September 10.

Two people wearing face coverings and with hoods up entered the 66-year-old man’s home and assaulted him.

Emergency services attended, and the homeowner was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Police have now launched an investigation into the robbery and are appealing for information.

Detective Sergeant Duncan Thompson said: “Our investigation is ongoing to establish the full circumstances and trace those responsible”.

“We are asking anyone who saw anything suspicious and has not already spoken to officers to get in touch.

“We are asking anyone driving in the Crossgates and Hill of Beath areas around the time of this attack to get in touch, particularly if you have dash-cam footage recorded between 8pm and 9pm on that evening.

“In addition, any householders in Manse Road in Crossgates or nearby streets who have not yet been approached for private CCTV please make us aware.

“Even the smallest detail could help with our investigation, so call us on 101, quoting incident number 0650 of Friday, September 11, or contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 where information can be passed anonymously.”
