Police are searching for a man in a blood-stained top after a grave was vandalised in Arbroath.

The grave was targeted around 7am on August 17 within the Eastern Cemetery on Brechin Road.

The suspect made off when approached by a member of the public and was last seen running past the Premier Store also on Brechin Road.

He is described as a white male, aged in his 20s and around 6ft in height. He had a skinny build, short hair with blonde highlights and was wearing a white T-shirt with blood stains on the collar area and khaki dark green cargo shorts.

Constable Jamieson from Arbroath Police Office said: “I would appeal for anyone with information, including anyone with dashcam who may have been in the area and has footage of the male, to contact police on 101 quoting reference CR/344491/25″
