Hunt for cyclist after woman seriously injured in attack near petrol station

A manhunt has been launched for a cyclist who attacked a woman in Aberdeen and left her seriously injured.

The assault took place near to the Tesco petrol station on Linksfield Road at around 3.20pm on December 29.

The male cyclist pushed the woman, causing serious injury, before making off onto King Street and thereafter onto Orchard Street.

The man is described as black, approximately 50 years of age and 5ft 10in in height. He had a greying beard and hair and wore a dark jacket and hat.

The bicycle was grey in colour and of racing appearance with saddle bags over the back wheel.

Constable Buchan from the Aberdeen Community Investigation Unit said: “I am appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident, has dashcam footage or any relevant information, to get in touch.”

Those with information are urged to contact Police Scotland on 101 and quote incident number PS-20260105-0698.
