Police are hunting for a blue pick-up truck after a man was hospitalised from an assault last month.

Emergency crews were called to the scene on Montagarrie Road in Alford in Aberdeenshire around 5.45pm on Saturday, June 24.

A man was found injured on the street and was rushed to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for treatment.

Two blue pick-up-style vehicles were seen in the area at the time of the incident. One has been traced by police while the other is still missing.

Officers are seeking to speak to the occupants of the trucks who they believe can help with the probe.

Constable Joel MacBeath said: “Our enquiries into this incident are ongoing and we are now appealing for the help of the public.

“I would ask anyone who witnessed the incident or who may have any information to contact us.

“I would also ask anyone who was in the area at the time and who may have dash cam footage or private CCTV which could assist to get in touch.

“Anyone with any information is asked to contact 101 quoting incident 3350 of June 24, 2023.”
