A horse has been rescued by firefighters after becoming trapped in mud at a farm in Leslie.
Two fire engines and a specialist resource were sent to the farm near Prinlaws Road around 12.30pm on Wednesday after the horse got into difficulty.
Crews were able to get the horse back on its feet and left area after making sure the area was safe.
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “We were alerted at 12.30pm on Wednesday, June 17, to assist a horse in difficulty at a farm near Prinlaws Road, Leslie, Glenrothes.
“Operations Control mobilised two fire appliances and a specialist resource to the scene, where crews assisted one horse which had become trapped in mud.
“Crews left the scene at 2.43pm after ensuring the area was made safe.”
